Are you ready to experience NYC in the most unique and thrilling way??? ✨
Summit One Vanderbilt is full of multi-sensory experiences, offering one-of-a-kind interactive art installations and creating ways of seeing the city that you’ve never seen before.
I got invited to their influencers event last Thursday and they welcomed me back last night for Danny Meyer’s Union Square Apres café by Events opening… I had a BLAST in both occasions, and I had the opportunity to enjoy its space during night, day and sunset.
I’m still on a high!!!
Atop One Vanderbilt, the 1,401-foot tall tower at Vanderbilt Avenue, Summit is the highest vantage point of Midtown.
The experience starts with an elevator ride of flashing lights, reaching 1,000 feet in just 42 seconds. that leads you into AIR – multiple rooms designed by the artist Kenzo Digital.
If the sun is bright, you’ll need sunglasses at Transcendence 1: the massive mirrored room with floor-to-ceiling windows on the 91st floor will mesmerize you while leaving you a little disoriented.
Mirrored walls, fully transparent glass skyboxes, and ceilings offer stunning and unique perspective of the NYC skyline: it’s hard to distinguish reflections versus reality.
With its panels of mirror and glass, Transcendence evokes the iconic grid of Manhattan in all its depth.
You’ll then walk into Reflect, an intimate room with a stainless steel floor installation by artist Yayoi Kusama, before entering Affinity, another small floor-to-ceiling windows and mirror room filled with floating silver balloons… it’s magical!
One floor up – 92nd floor – you’ll walk into Transcendence 2, from which you’ll be able to look down at Transcendence 1 and having another amazing view of the Empire State Building, WTC, Bryant Park, the Chrysler… the entire City!
Levitation is your next experience: a suspended balcony entirely made of glass… you can be atop of Madison Avenue and watch the NYC traffic from there!
The next room is Unity, featuring an incredible clouds installation on a massive 750-square-foot seamless Samsung LED screen. You can get your three-dimensional portrait in this room!
At the top floor, get a drink and a bite at Aprés – a chalet-inspired café by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group. The view is terrific both from indoor and outdoor terrace as much as from the bathroom!!!
