Looking for your next best winter experience to book in NYC? 🗽✨ Curling 1,100 feet above the Manhattan skyline at the Sky Chalet at Edge might be it!!! The newest curling attraction is now open.
Yesterday, my friend Tony and I got invited to the preview, and we checked it out for you. Let me tell you: while I honestly didn’t really get full-on chalet vibes, we had an absolute blast!!! Here’s everything you need to know before you go:
🗓️ January 17 to March 16, 2025
🕦 Open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM
🎟️ Your ticket includes a 50-minute curling session on your very own private lane made of Glice, plus access to Edge

What to Expect at Sky Chalet + Curling at Edge 🎯
Let’s start with the “chalet” part. If you’re picturing fluffy throws, warm blankets, and a cozy escape, you might be a little surprised. The Sky Chalet is indoors (yay for not freezing outside!), and the vibe leans more modern than rustic. I loved it, even if it was totally different from what I personally expected – LOL.
There are three curling lanes made of Glice (eco-friendly and smooth to play on) next to the nearly floor-to-ceiling windows. Yes, you’ll be playing curling with a view! You can sit and relax on the wooden benches while enjoying the game and the stunning Manhattan skyline at your feet. Plus, those cute small tree stump tables are perfect for holding drinks and snacks.

There’s also storage for your coats, hats, and bags in baskets near the game area, so you can fully enjoy the experience without worrying about your stuff.
I had never curled before, and let me tell you: this game gets you! It’s all about strategy, precision, and teamwork. After figuring out how much strength to use when launching the stones, I was completely hooked. Plus: having fun with friends surrounded by the city lights is PRICELESS. We even made friends with another group playing nearby – it’s such a social, interactive game.
Why Sunset is the Best Time 🌅
We arrived just before sunset and took in the magnificent view from the outdoor deck before heading inside to play. Blue hour, which happens just after the sunset when the sky glows in deep blue tones and the city lights come alive, is hands-down the best time to watch the skyline while curling. It was PURE MAGIC!
Food, Drinks, & Pricing 🍹
Playing curling works up an appetite, and luckily, the Sky Chalet has you covered! We grabbed:
