If you’ve ever dreamed of a peaceful, authentic Italian oasis in NYC, you’re going to love QC NY Spa on Governors Island. Just a five-minute ferry ride from Downtown Manhattan, it’s the perfect escape with breathtaking views of the New York Skyline that’ll make you forget you’re in one of the busiest cities in the world. Sounds incredible, right? Trust me, it is! 😍
Italian Elegance Meets NYC Skyline
My love for QC NY Spa began in 2022, when I attended their media preview before the official opening. I was immediately impressed by their attention to details and the unique elegance of the place – a historical building (originally army barracks) completely renovated with Italian high-end and custom-made furniture and decor. 🇮🇹
Since then, I’ve returned several times, and each visit has been just as magical. I even checked out QC Spa in Milan – a must-visit to add to your Italy travel itinerary!
The Perfect Urban Escape 🛳️✨
QC NY Spa is a slice of paradise that makes you feel miles away from city stress. The journey starts with a quick 5 min ferry ride (free with your reservation).
This time, I brought Luca to experience their latest wellness offerings:
- Facial Yoga: Led by Krysten Victoria Gibbs, it was a gentle yet effective way to rejuvenate, promote circulation, and achieve that natural glow.
- Guided Foot Self-Massage: Pure relaxation for our tired city feet!
- Senses Experience: A 5 min treat that deeply connected us with the water element.
Relaxation at Its Finest 🧖♀️
Aside from the 20+ wellness experiences, here are my top highlights of the day:
- Relax Room with Heated Water Beds: Surrounded by soothing water projections, I completely “passed out”, and Luca had to wake me up! When I’m a millionaire, I definitely want to have a room like this one in my house – lol!
- Outdoor Pools: I’ll never get over their Jacuzzi chaise lounges with jaw-dropping views of the Manhattan skyline!!! The combination of warm water and a cold winter breeze is pure magic.
I want to book my next visit on a snowy day; I’m sure it will be an unforgettable experience!!!! Anyone else want to join me for that? Leave your comment below, and I’ll organize an “Escape the City Meet-Up” 😉
We ended our day with an Aperol Spritz and a delicious aperitivo plate.
One tiny hiccup? The espresso we ordered was Nespresso. Don’t get me wrong – I love my Nespresso at home – but I was dreaming of a classic macchiato from a barista. They’re still working on this part of the building, which is a brand new addition to the Spa, so maybe we’ll get real coffee in the future. I’ll keep you posted!
Magical, Even When the Weather Doesn’t Cooperate 🌧️
I had hoped for a dramatic sunset moment, but the weather had other plans. Still, even under overcast skies, the experience was rejuvenating and unforgettable. OH SO REGENERATIVE!
