Few days ago my friend Kristin suggested to go on a “riding the boat” cruise… DONE!

There are 12 bikes on the ferry and you can actually move the boat by riding them!!! Starting from Hoboken – New Jersey – you’ll enjoy a spectacular view of the NYC Skyline, from Midtown to Downtown with Statue of Liberty on the horizon!
Our friends Donatella and Yvonne also joined us and WE HAD A BLAST!!!
The cruise leaves from Shipyard Marina Dock C19 (1301 Sinatra Dr N) in Hoboken, NJ, close to Pier 13. Path ($2.75) closest stop is 14 St – Hoboken.
Coming from Manhattan, you could also take the 39th Street Midtown Manhattan Ferry ($9) to 14th Street – Hoboken.

Before getting on board, you’ll be asked to sign a release form to confirm you haven’t had any symptoms or have been exposed to anyone that has tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days. Your temperature will also be checked and you have to wear a mask when you can’t social distancing.
The Captain explains everything you need to know: how to move on the boat, what to expect from the cruise, how to safety have fun, where the bathroom is located and how to use it… then he’ll ask for a volunteer DJ!!!
Be ready with your own playlist and you could connect your phone to the boat’s speakers via bluetooth: Dona was our DJ for the day! 💥💥💥
Riding on boat is SUPER FUN and luckily it moves even if you’re not pedaling… otherwise we’d be still stuck at the pier 🤣
Each side of bikes is connected to a system ( it’s easier when everyone is riding) that allows the boat to move, however there’s also an hidden motor so… there’s no pressure!
Dona was the only one who rode for all of us – she’s training for a triathlon. 😜
Yvonne, Kristin and I spent most of the time dancing while the other group of friends on board was too busy celebrating someone’s birthday 🥳
The view is breathtaking, from the Empire State Building to the One World Trace Center and the Statue of Liberty.
Cruise is about 90 minutes and it’s PERFECT FOR:

– celebrating special occasions like engagement, team building, anniversary, birthday, bachelor/bachelorette parties…
– staying fit while enjoying a beautiful NYC Skyline or relaxing on the stern’s benches.
You have to be 21 y.o. (bring your ID) to bring wine/beer on board.
Children 8 and older are allowed onboard for private full boat cruises. For public tours guests must be 13 and older. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 25.
Tours start from $39 per person and you could also reserve the entire boat for a private party!
