New York beloved tradition, the whimsical NYBG Holiday Train Show, has long been on the shortlist of must-do holiday activities in NYC, along with Fifth Avenue window shop and the Rockefeller Center tree… so Bernadeta (photographer), Kristin (stylist) and I went to the Bronx for a girls adventure!
Trains speeding through Winter Wonderland.
While kids (and “big kids”) will be entertained by more than 25 G-scale model trains and trolleys along nearly a half-mile of track, adults will be ENCHANTED by the replicas of more than 175 scaled iconic NYC landmarks made entirely out of natural materials and plants like twigs, bark, leaves, stems, fruit, seeds, fungus, acorns, pine cones…
Step into NYC’s famous architectural treasures such as the Brooklyn Bridge, George Washington Bridge, Plaza Hotel, Central Park, Lady Liberty, One World Trade Center or the decked out Rockefeller Center… all displayed under thousands of twinkling lights.
For 25 selected nights – now through January 22, 2022 – you can also experience the magic of NYC‘s longest outdoor illuminated color spectacle: GLOW.

After dark, The New York Botanical Garden gets even more stunning under the sparkling lights. Its outdoor paths and trees are magically lit with thousands of dazzling LEDs transforming 1.5-mile in breathtaking display and wonder.
As you explore GLOW, you can also listen to great live music of steel pan drum played by the Khuentertainment, or you can assist to the transformation of ordinary blocks of ice into massive wintry works of art by carvers from Okamoto Studio NYC.
During your visit, you can also taste hot cocoa, tacos, burgers or other local flavors at the Bronx Night Market Holiday Pop-Up.
