If you’re looking for a quiet and spacious place to stay in Downton NYC, with high end finishes, then this is the place to be. Located in the heart of Battery Park City, Conrad New York Downtown is perfect for everyone who wants to fully experience all Lower Manhattan attractions in a luxury oasis tucked away from the tourist crowds.
Conrad New York Downtown Review
Conveniently located in Battery Park, just across Brookfield Place, it’s less that 10 minutes’ walk from the city’s most iconic attractions, including One World Trade Center, 9/11 memorial, Wall Street, Tribeca. It’s very well connected by all subway lines, and you can even take the Path and the Ferry to NJ from here (see “Insider Wow Tip from a local” below).
Rooms & Accommodations
The hotel lobby is an incredible floor-to-ceiling piece of art: I’d actually encourage everyone to walk in and admire its beauty.
All stylish suite-like luxury rooms, starting at 430 sq. ft., are very spacious, sophisticated and modern.
We stayed in room 1224, with a calming and relaxing view of the Hudson River from a very comfortable bed, a spa-inspired bathroom with a terrific waterfall rain-shower (and an extra head) complete with Byredo toiletries and plush robes, a wet bar with in-room filtered water dispenser, a Nespresso machine and a mini-fridge, and a separate living area with a sofa bed.
Pro Tip: The two sliding doors dividing the space in three (bedroom, bar & bathroom area, and living room) played a crucial role when I had to attend a 7am Zoom call while Luca was still sleeping. They are perfect for anyone who needs some privacy.
Impeccable service
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed with warmth and top-notch hospitality. Everyone is very friendly and ready to accommodate any need. I loved finding my computer cables re-organized with a “Conrad” branded silicon cable wrap!

Food & Drinks
Luca and I had lunch at ATRIO Wine Bar & Restaurant on the second floor back in December and everything was DIVINE! Each dish was very curated and a symphony of flavors: we had to say “Bravo!” to the chef.
During summertime, I’d highly suggest you capture a breathtaking sunset over New York Harbor, Statue of Liberty, and Jersey City from the trendy Loopy Doopy Rooftop Bar, located on the 16th floor – famous for their Poptail cocktails made with Prosecco & Ice Pop… so fun!!!

Insider Tips
– Consider joining the Hilton Honors program to unlock exclusive benefits and rewards during your stay at Conrad New York Downtown.
– Watch a movie without even leaving the property. The Regal Battery Park Stadium 11 theater, with 11 screens and comfortable reclining spacious seating, is located in the same building: walk through the hotel lobby on the east side and take the escalator to the movie theatre.
Location and directions
📍Conrad New York Downtown, 102 North End Avenue, NY
🚇 How to Get There by Subway: Located a few blocks from Chamber Street, WTC Cortlandt, and Fulton Street Stations, the hotel is served by the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, and E trains.
You can also walk through Brookfield Place and the Oculus to access all subways at Fulton Street: there are elevators everywhere and it’s the perfect to avoid any outdoor weather discomfort (too hot, too cold, rainy…).
👣🚲 Getting Around Battery Park:
– Walk around: It’s the best way to explore so many places in the area, and I’d suggest you take a long walk along the river in Battery Park
– Use Citi Bike: There’s a bike station just across the hotel, at Vesey Pl & River Terrace.
What to do in the area
Conrad New York Downtown is literally across Brookfield Place, high-end shopping and dining center.
It’s steps away to the One World Observatory, and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, and with a 15-minute walk, you can be in Wall Street or take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
The neighborhood has a variety of cultural attractions and museums, including Battery Park City, the Irish Hunger Memorial, Skyscraper Museum, Museum of Jewish Heritage, and PAC NYC, the new Space for Performing Art.
Indulge in some Italian groceries or grab a delicious bite at Eataly Downtown – I always get an espresso con pan at the Lavazza Bar 😋
Insider Wow Tip from a local
Take the NY WaterWay from Battery Park City- Vessey Street to Paulus Hook in NJ to fully enjoy a breathtaking view of Downtown Manhattan from the water, walk over J. Owen Grundy Park for another scenic view of the City, and take the Path back to WTC from Exchange Place (5 min ride).
Neighborhood Hidden Gems & Instagrammable Places
Here’s a list of my favorite places in the area.
- Winter Garden: I love its architecture and palms!
- Clean Market at the second floor: based in NYC, offers personalized functional wellness guided by medical professionals. Situated in Brookfield Place, it features a wellness shop, café in partnership with Matchaful, NutriDrip IV Drip lounge, private infrared saunas, and lymphatic drainage massage. I had an AMAZING lymphatic drainage massage with Laurie and I’m planning to go back for more!!!
‼️ Use VIVERENEWYORK for a 20% discount on your first-time visit, and complete your “me time” with a delicious matcha latte from Matchaful for a blissful rest of the day.
- Pumphouse Park, located at Brookfield Place, 230 Vesey St: Don’t miss the vibrant tulips in May; a burst of color in the urban landscape 🌷
- Tiny’s and The Bar Upstairs, 135 W Broadway, New York: an iconic three-story townhouse serving New American cuisine with Southern and French influences. Recently opened for breakfast and lunch, we couldn’t resist trying it. Luca grabbed a Bacon, Egg & Cheese sandwich while I had the Avo Cotto… delicious!
Conrad New York Downtown is a perfect oasis of luxury and tranquility in a very strategic location.
Whether you’re seeking upscale accommodations, impeccable service, or unparalleled amenities, Conrad New York Downtown has it all. Enjoy a perfect and relaxing stay in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. You’ll get the best of both worlds!
