I’ve been sailing with Classic Harbor Line for years (see my previous post here), and they’ve become my absolute favorite! Every time a friend or family member visits, we plan a NYC cruise aboard their intimate 1920s-style yachts and sailing boats. Each experience is unique and special. Their Holiday Jazz Cruise around NYC is amazing as well! Compared to larger (and cheaper) cruises, these are more intimate, chic, and comfortable. The attention to detail truly makes the difference, along with the excellence of their crew.
What Makes Cocoa & Carols SO Special?
This time, I chose the Cocoa & Carols Holiday Cruise, and WOW – what an unforgettable night!!! The festive atmosphere is unmatched, and the yacht is beautifully decked out with twinkling string lights and wreaths.
As soon as you step aboard, you’re greeted with huge smiles from the crew and directed to your private table. The elegant booths and cozy sofas immediately warmed our heart – it felt like being at a Christmas party at home with all your favorite people.!
The crew then introduced the band, who started playing Christmas tunes. They kicked off with “Carol of the Bells,” ONLY with safety instructions as the lyrics! It immediately got us into the Holiday spirit as we all sang along, giggling to the tune “You don’t do, you don’t do, you don’t do stand on benches, please be certain not to stand on benches” 😂🎶
As the cruise set off, surrounded by the magic of the New York City skyline by night, the crew served us delicious treats included in the ticket: hot cocoa with whipped cream – or a glass of wine or a beer if you like 🍷- and cookies. You can also purchase other treats and food if you’re hungry.

⌛ 1.5 Hours of Joy: From singalongs to dancing, the time flies by!
🎷Live Band: Talented and FUN! Get ready to join in. At one point, the saxophonist handed out tambourines, and we all became musicians while dancing and singing our hearts out – LOL.
📸 Spectacular Views: The Manhattan skyline, Statue of Liberty, and Brooklyn Bridge are breathtaking at night. Get ready to take an endless amount of pics and videos – just like we did!
🎄Cozy & Warm: Relax in a heated, enclosed boat surrounded by festive décor and holiday tunes. Brave enough? Step outside to take close-up photos of the Statue of Liberty. We got lucky with warm weather and were able to open the windows to snap some picture from inside – other passengers did exactly the same.

Final Thoughts
