Our 3 weeks vacation in Italy started with 30 hours in Milan, and I made sure to go to QC Termemilano for a Spa retreat!
Since I loved QC NY, I couldn’t wait to checking out their Milan location… my expectations have even been exceed!
Diving into a multi-sensory wellness journey inside the archaeological remains of a Roman building sheltered by the ancient Spanish Walls is an incredible experience: you’ll decompress and relax, while enjoying the best of the Made in Italy.
I felt brand new despite the jet leg!
About 1 minute walking from Porta Romana subway stop, QC Termemilano is located in the heart of Milan.
I checked in my carryon and backpack at the front desk, changed into a bathing suite, stored my clothes in the locker (where I found a robe, a towel, a pair of slippers, and a bag), and I had a blast with my long time friend Fabio who lives in Milan.
There’s also a safe inside each locker, in case you want to secure any valuables.
The spa’s garden has two large heated outdoor pools surrounded by 16th-century walls and in the yard there’s also a vintage Milan tram converted into a bio-sauna!
Inside the building, there are several saunas, steam rooms, foot baths, Vichy shower, hot and cold water pools, stube, relaxation rooms with different scents and music…
Among so many amenities to choose from, you don’t want to miss:
– Vintage Milan tram sauna: it’s just such a brilliant idea!
– Vichy shower: lay down and surrender to the pleasure of the water running over your body
– “Monte Tabor” relaxation room (named after the historic artificial hill built in Milan in the 18th century, and made into a roller coaster by Giuseppe Garavaglia): relax on big white puffs hearing birds singing and calming rainstorm sounds!
We stayed for lunch (offered daily from 12pm to 3pm) and it was the perfect closure of such a nourishing experience.
All ingredients are genuine and fresh, from local cured meats & cheeses to delicious dishes, from seasonal fruit to tasty sweets and coffee.
Next time I’ll have to go for aperitivo – included in the price of the evening admission; a must Milanese experience… wearing a robe and surrounded by fairy lights!
Make sure to add QC Termemilano on your to-do-list of things to do in Milan!
